Accessibility statement.
1. Our commitment
A partner of disability networks for some twenty years, Les Jardins de la Cité wants its website to be usable by everyone, whatever their device, software or disability. This statement describes the current state of www.lesjardinsdelacite.fr and how to report a difficulty.
2. Compliance status
The website has not yet been audited against the French accessibility standard (RGAA) by an independent body, so it cannot currently claim compliance. We aim for level AA and fix the issues found in our own checks as we go.
3. What is already in place
- a text alternative for every informative image;
- a consistent heading structure and a “Skip to main content” link;
- keyboard navigation with a visible focus indicator;
- a settings panel (“Accessibility” link in the footer) to enlarge text, increase contrast, underline links, change the font, reduce motion or switch to dark mode;
- support for your device's “reduce motion” setting;
- a complete French version of the site.
4. Known limitations
- some decorative labels are set in small type;
- several sections animate as you scroll (the “reduce motion” setting makes them visible immediately);
- the homepage video and logo film are decorative and silent: they carry no essential information.
5. Report a difficulty
If you cannot access a piece of content or a service, email us at info@lesjardinsdelacite.fr or call +33 1 73 63 24 72: we will answer or provide the information in another form.
6. Remedies
If our answer does not satisfy you, you can contact the French Défenseur des droits (www.defenseurdesdroits.fr), free of charge, at: Défenseur des droits, Libre réponse 71120, 75342 Paris CEDEX 07, France.
