01 · The brief

What we had to get right.

The Fonds de Garantie des Victimes wanted to pay tribute to Françoise Rudetzki, injured in a terrorist attack in 1983, behind the creation of the FGTI and a member of its board for thirty-five years, and to name a space in its head office after her. That meant bringing together the victims' associations, the board members and the Fonds' own staff, in the presence of the Prime Minister and the Minister of Justice: state protocol inside an office building, and an emotion to be respected.

Production of the ceremony, staging of the tribute, sound system, welcome and protocol, print and signage.

02 · The set-up

What we put in place.

Technical site survey with the Fonds' own services, to stage a ceremony in a lobby that is not an auditorium
Dedicated sound system: amplified lectern, gooseneck microphones, distributed speakers, discreet control position and a propagation test that same morning
Staging of the tribute: portrait on an easel, French and European flags, lectern banner in the colours of the State
Full print production: name badges, table place cards, seating plan, cloakroom and press signage
Right-sized welcome: a team of hosts and hostesses, guest check-in, cloakroom with numbered tickets
Two sequences run back to back with no dead time: the addresses, then the unveiling of the plaque
Coordination of the officials' route, from arrival on the ground floor up to the board room and back

03 · The method

How we ran it.

Site survey with the Fonds' teams and the sound engineer

Running order built minute by minute, design and printing of every material

Get-in from 7 am, welcoming the guests, running the ceremony and the unveiling

The result

A ceremony held to the minute in a head office that is not an event venue: family, associations and board members welcomed and seated before the delegations arrived, the addresses audible from every corner of the lobby, the unveiling following on without a wobble. The plaque, for its part, stayed.
